Synopsis: A young white man is invited by a rich Chinese family to visit them in China. Through his bittersweet journey, he learns a life lesson that people are all connected through their kind nature despite different cultural backgrounds.

Canada Line Project

The above link is a ten second short created specifically for Canada Line public art installation. Rockey, Cody, Jannice, and Omar worked on the paint-on-glass animation session, while Emilie, David, Judy, Nick and I were working on the puppet animation session. I was mainly responsible for directing puppet animation and final cut editing. I have also worked on the train set construction, puppet head sculpting, inbetween animation for paint-on-glass department. This short is played on Canada Line skytrain system for one month, together with other 3 ten-second animation works, created by other students from the same experimental animation class. Around the middle of March, 2012, there will also be an iphone app about this short. Looking forward to seeing it again!
